mosquito ridge

after 4 or 5 months of light duty climbing due to some potential nerve damage in a digit and a myriad of other distractions, i think it's time to start climbing some more. last weekend we spent a morning up at skyline ridge, aka heather ridge, to check out the boulders i have driven by and gazed at for years while in pursuit of bavarian treats on the east side. it was a pleasant, steep, warm hike, and the lake provided some welcome relief for us all. i was quite pleased with the quantity and quality of rocks that we found, not really knowing what to expect. unfortunately, we did not anticipate the swarming of mosquitos and after only 30 minutes of climbing, we decided to bail and come back with colder temps or lots of deet. i would be eager to go back and top a few things out. here are some photos of the one problem we climbed on...
